These days, a lot of things are happening on the streets of social media and most of us are beginning to believe in false truths. Yes “False Truths”. Because tell me why Aunty Tope and Brother Chinedu would have over 10,000 followers and then have as little as 100-1000 likes or views and maybe 10-20 comments on their posts.
That’s not all. Some have likes, views, and comments but are fake. Yes, we have people that use bots but Instagram catches on quickly and brings those pages down.
Quick tips on how to catch them
-
The amount of engagement they have on their posts doesn’t equal the number of followers they have. For example, if a page has about 10,000 followers it should at least be getting about 2,000 – 3,000 likes and about 100 comments.
-
The comments they get are 90% emojis that do not relate to the post or caption. And even if they are not emojis: they do not relate 100% with the post.
-
Are their followers active? How many comments or likes do they get within the hour of their posts? Now, this is very tricky cause they could be ordering for the likes immediately they post so it seems that they have active followers, but what to look out for is how they quickly rush in and stop. For example, if they post now and immediately 1,000 likes rush in and stop within 30 minutes; it’s fake AKA inorganic AKA false truth.
-
Now the major one. How are their Instagram live views? A person that has an organic growth of 20,000 plus would have 100s of views on their Instagram Live. But an inorganic following might not even get up to 50 streams.
Well, that’s that for now.
There would be a part 2 cause we all know that social media keeps evolving and so does their tricks.
I hope I have helped you avoid making a mistake.
You would be shocked at the number of top celebrities that engage in this false truth.
